Content Summary

The 2012 Education Trailer Bill provides a limited opportunity for charter schools to lease or purchase surplus property of a school district. In order to be eligible to consider accessing surplus property, a charter school must first notify the school district of its interest in such property. CCSA has developed a sample letter that charter schools may use to exercise this option.
