Successful Charter School Day at the Capitol

iStock Capitol Building front

CCSA celebrated National Charter Schools Week and hosted our Annual Advocacy Day in Sacramento on Tuesday May 5, 2015. Over 500 charter school leaders, parents, teachers and students flooded the State Capitol, making this the largest Advocacy Day to date!

This year, we held our first ever Youth Symposium. Students that attended Advocacy Day heard from a panel comprised of legislative fellows, interns and staff, completed the California Budget Challenge, and toured the Capitol. Thank you to all the students that participated!

Save the date: Advocacy Day 2016 will be held Tuesday, May 3. Registration will open January 2016.
