Peter C. Groff, president and CEO of the National Alliance of Public Charter Schools, announced today he is leaving his post to become Senior Advisor of legislative outreach efforts with the Black Alliance for Educational Options.
Jed Wallace, president and CEO of the California Charter Schools Association (CCSA), released the following statement:
"CCSA and its member schools would like to thank Peter C. Groff for his leadership in the charter movement and his stewardship of the National Alliance. Under his leadership, charter schools have continued to grow and become a more prominent factor in the education reform efforts across California and the U.S. We wish him all the best in his new role."
"We look forward to continuing our work with the National Alliance, and its interim leader Ursula Wright, on the issues that most impact charter schools. While charters continue to face challenges, our resolve to ensure that quality public school options are available to every student in our communities never wavers."
