CCSA Launches Start-Up Circles to Support School Developers

Start-Up Circles in the Bay Area and Sacramento brought together educators, parents, and community leaders to discuss the process of starting a school, the landscape in the Bay Area and Sacramento, respectively, and supports available to teams interested in starting a school. Held on November 8, 2012, the Bay Area event featured the founders of Vincent Academy, Jean Driscoll and Kate Nicol, and Penny Schwinn, founder of Capitol Collegiate Academy, headlined in Sacramento. The first two were such a success that CCSA has planned more and is expanding to Los Angeles in 2013.

"I enjoyed meeting everyone and the information was very empowering. Penny was a great inspiring leader and I look forward to more," Jason Honig posted on the Meetup website after attending the Sacramento event.
