CREDO released a new report, Charter School Performance in California, providing an in-depth examination of the results for charter schools in California. It is also an update to CREDO’s first analysis of the performance of California’s charter schools released in 2009.
I was excited and privileged to see so many of you, nearly 3,000 to be exact, at the 21st Annual California Charter Schools Conference March 3-6 in San Jose.
CREDO released a new report finding that the typical Los Angeles charter school student gains more learning in a year than his or her district school peer, amounting to about 50 more days of learning in reading and an additional 79 days of learning in math.
In addition to 160+ workshops, 250+ exhibitors, a Parent Summit, the Hart Vision Awards, Susan Steelman Bragato Scholarship winners and many special programming events, there were celebrations designed to recognize excellence, refuel passion and reignite imagination.
