Six California charter schools were included in Newsweek's "America's Top Schools 2014" list.

Each year, Newsweek publishes this list, which is ranked primarily by a ratio of AP/IB exams to the number of students graduating. The following six California charter schools were included on the list:

  • Albert Einstein Academy For Letters, Arts And Science
  • Classical Academy High
  • Granada Hills Charter High
  • Hawthorne Math And Science Academy
  • Orange County School of the Arts
  • Pacific Collegiate Charter

For the first time, Newsweek published a second list of top schools entitled "America's Top High Schools for Low-Income Students." Albert Einstein Academy For Letters, Arts And Science was ranked #2 on this list, which takes into consideration how well schools serve students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
