The Los Angeles-based Imagination Foundation has teamed up with engineers at Google to explore the relationship between science, creativity and play. And they made a film series about it called, "Science at Play"! They are traveling the globe to visit their Imagination Chapters in Los Angeles, South Africa and Italy to watch how children explore the world with wonder, imagination and new technology.

Imagination Chapters represent some of the first children in the world to use the new Science Journal app, a digital science notebook designed by Google engineers. Watch as children unlock the invisible world with specially equipped smartphones and their imaginations!

The first episode, "Are You a Scientist?," is now available on YouTube and features great teaching at Extera Public Schools as well as a fresh look at STEM learning.

The project is made possible by Google's Making & Science initiative. Visit, learn more, discover fun activities, and download the Science Journal app.
