The California Charter Schools Association (CCSA) congratulates two Los Angeles charter public schools, Multicultural Learning Center (MLC) and CHIME Institute, that have received recognition from the California Department of Education's (CDE) Superintendent of Public Instruction's (SPI) office.

In April, MLC was recognized as one of just three schools in the entire state as a recipient of the 2018 Education for a Global Economy: California Model Program Award, and CHIME Institute was visited by California SPI Tom Torklakson who published a video on the CDE's YouTube channel celebrating the school's incredible approach to special education.

Congratulations to both MLC and CHIME Institute for their recent recognitions!
