CCSA Issues Statement on Case Involving Former Charter CEO

December 22, 2018

CCSA released the following statement after former charter school CEO plead guilty to misappropriating funds:

"Charter schools are public schools and we firmly believe that they should be held to the highest standards. This means that they are accountable to the families they serve and to their authorizers, and that they're held to state and federal public education laws. We expect all charter schools and their representatives to uphold these standards as members of our community.

Isana schools have long provided an excellent education for their students, including many from historically underserved communities. The organization's good faith effort to resolve all issues in a transparent, responsive manner provides a promising foundation for its future."
