Call for Chapters: Charter School Efficacy, Administration, and Leadership Handbook

Mark P. Ryan, Ph.D. attempts to synthesize relevant research on the impact of Charter Schools on the families and communities they serve in his soon-to-be-published Handbook. This Handbook will synthesize relevant research on the impact of Charter Schools on the American educational system. Charter school researchers and practitioners are invited to submit a chapter proposal on or before February 29, 2016.

Strong Economy Continues Education Increases in Governor's 2016-17 Budget Plan

Last week, Governor Jerry Brown introduced his proposed state budget for the 2016-17 fiscal year. The budget includes $5.4 billion more for K-14 education, including $2.8 billion more for the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), $1.2 billion in one-time block grants and $20 million to support charter school start up grants to replace lost federal funds.
