Content Summary

On January 10, 2017, Governor Jerry Brown introduced his proposed state budget for the 2017-18 fiscal year. The budget reflects a slowing down of the state's economy and includes mostly "workload adjustments" for K-12 education, including $744 million more for the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) and $58 million in one-time block grants. This is the first step in the budget process before a final plan is adopted in June 2017. CCSA will provide a full CCSA Budget Brief and additional resources in the coming days.
