As a result of recommendations in the 2015 Statewide Special Education Task Force report, $18 million dollars have been appropriated as part of AB104, Chapter 13, Statutes of 2015, for scaling up of the utilization of a MTSS in Local Education Agencies (LEAs) across California. In April 2016, Orange County Department of Education, was awarded a large grant to implement MTSS statewide and is now accepting applications for sub-grants. There is currently over $150 million dollars available to charter schools for energy efficiency upgrades and solar projects through the Prop. 39 K-12 Program administrated through the State of California’s Energy Commission.
