California Charter Schools Association Responds to LAUSD and Los Angeles Charter Schools Agreement to Purchase PPE

Los Angeles - California Charter Schools Association (CCSA) President and CEO Myrna Castrejón issued the following statement in response to a joint statement by the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and the Los Angeles Advocacy Council announcing a partnership to purchase Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety precautions as schools prepare to re-open.

Said Myrna Castrejón:

“We are pleased to see a partnership between charter public schools and LAUSD that is based on our shared priorities: the health and safety of all students and school staff. The charter community will continue to partner with LAUSD and other local and state education and health agencies in this time of crisis, ensuring that we lead by example and keep our school system stable for the hundreds of thousands of students and families we serve.”
