Director, Political and Strategic Affairs
Alix is Director of Political and Strategic Affairs and manages political activities in support of charter public schools across California on the Civic and Political Affairs team. Through a combination of engagement with political candidates seeking local and state office, management of political consultants, and a number of other activities, Alix works to fulfill the organization's political and electoral goals. Prior to joining CCSA, Alix spent nearly a decade in Washington, D.C. and abroad, where he worked in international affairs and national politics—in the U.S. Government, Congress and non-profit sectors. During that time, he primarily focused on international human rights and democracy policy. Alix earned his bachelors degree at UC Berkeley and his masters at The George Washington University. He enjoys traveling the world, writing, hiking and reading pretty much anything related to history or politics.
