Charter Support Grows in California

Last August, Education Next released a poll showing that support for charter schools nationally had dropped by 12 points. But this year,Education Nextreleased their2018 pollshowing public backing for charter schools up by 5 percentage points.

The results in California were better with support jumping 12 points from 42 to 54 percent. More people are taking a stance. Undecideds dropped from 28 percent to 11 percent, with 12 percent moving to support and five percent moving to opposed, from 29 to 34 percent.
