David Ritcherson

David Ritcherson is one of CCSA’s Directors of Greater Los Angeles Local Advocacy. He was born and raised in South Los Angeles. David is a proud product of the LA Charter School movement and credits his pursuit of higher education to Community Harvest Charter School. He graduated from UC San Diego with a bachelors in Comparative Ethnic Studies.

David has over 15 years of experience in education, leading grassroots movements to advance racial equity within the UC system, working as an elementary school teacher in marginalized communities in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Shanghai, and recently completing the Community Finance Fellowship at Mission Driven Finance. David is excited to continue his commitment to social justice and educational equity by joining the CCSA team. He enjoys his free time exploring new recipes, singing, karaoke, and playing basketball and soccer with his friends.
