Marco is the Senior Director of Advocacy for Santa Clara County. Marco spent over ten years working alongside parents, youth, educators, elected officials and a range of stakeholders to support quality schools, address academic inequity and to expand educational access. Just prior to joining CCSA, Marco coordinated political campaigns for local and state senate candidates. Marco has also taught courses in Latinx politics, race, gender and research methods at the University of San Francisco (USF). Marco also spends time in service of his community. Marco currently chairs a city committee, leads a service organization, and launched his own campaign for city council in 2017. When not engaged in politics or teaching, Marco spends time with his wife, two children, and two English Bulldogs.
