32 California Charter Public Schools Named a 2019 California Distinguished School

Sacramento, CA - The California Charter Schools Association (CCSA) is proud to recognize 32 California charter public schools named a 2019 California Distinguished School by the California Department of Education (CDE). These schools are recognized for their outstanding programming that has allowed them to achieve exceptional student performance or close the achievement gap between two consecutive academic years.

"We are so proud of the 32 California Distinguished Charter Public Schools for their consistent hard work to achieve tremendous academic gains for students," said Myrna Castrejon, President and CEO, CCSA. "These schools demonstrate the California charter public school movement's commitment to creating joyful and rigorous public school communities that prepare all students for success in college, career, community, and life. As we enter a new era of California education, we should continue to support all great public schools - both traditional and charter - like these so that more students across the state can access the high quality education they deserve."
