Abi O'Neal currently serves as the Associate Director of Sacramento Local Advocacy. Abi is an invaluable member of the NorCal Advocacy team as we work toward supporting our members, enhancing educational opportunities, and building brighter futures for the students and families of Northern California. She is an accomplished and experienced leader in the field of education, with a strong commitment to social justice and equity. With a notable career spanning over 10 years, Abi has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a track record of success in charter schools across New York, North Carolina, and California. Most recently, Abi served as the CEO and Superintendent of Cascade Public Schools in Des Moines, Washington, where she joined the founding team in 2021 and helped launch the school.
Abi is a first-generation college graduate from Syracuse University, which instilled in her a profound appreciation for the transformative power of education. She earned her Masters of Arts in Teaching from the esteemed University of Southern California, furthering her commitment to creating a more equitable educational landscape.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Abi is excited to now be in Sacramento, where she is ready to join advocacy efforts as the Associate Director of Local Advocacy.
