Gary is the Vice President of Civic and Political Affairs and leads CCSA Advocate's candidate development work across California. He is an experienced political professional and community leader. For twelve years, he has worked for organizations advocating educational equity to identify and train champions to serve their community and fight for kids. He served in local elected office for fourteen years as a School Board Member, City Council Member, and directly elected Mayor of the City of Elk Grove. Gary and his wife, Heather, have three teenage children and live in Elk Grove. He enjoys cooking, eating, running, and helping others to achieve their public service dreams.
